Description

Proferrin contains heme-iron polypeptide. The body preferentially absorbs heme-iron through specific receptors throughout the small intestine. Heme-iron is found naturally in foods such as meat, poultry and fish.

Proferrin is an oral iron supplement made from naturally sourced heme iron polypeptide (HIP), which is iron derived from bovine hemoglobin. Proferrin has these advantages compared to other non-heme iron supplements.
