Description

Native to Australia, Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia) is an evergreen standing at 6 to 10 meters tall with highly scented leaves. It owes its name to Thomas Cook, who discovered the tea when he arrived in Australia. He made tea from the leaves and saw indigenous people making poultices with them to treat sores and infections. Today, Tea Tree essential oil remains a gold standard in family pharmacies for its antiseptic, antibacterial and germ-fighting properties.

 

Tea Tree essential oil is used as a germicide antiseptic to relieve minor skin irritations and abrasions, or for symptomatic relief of acne and boils.

Suggested Use

Clean skin before use; apply locally 3 times a day.

Ingredients

Melaleuca Cajeputi Oil 1%. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Natural Source), Melaleuca Alternifolia Oil, Lavandula Latifolia Oil, Cymbopogon Martinii var. Motia Oil, Rosmarinus Ofcinalis CT Verbenoniferum Oil, Melaleuca Cajeputi Oil, Chamaemelum Nobile Oil, Achillea Millefolium Oil, Tocopherol (Vit. E).

FOR OCCASIONAL USE ONLY. DO NOT TAKE ORALLY. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with vegetable oil. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have epilepsy or asthma, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. May cause allergic reaction (e.g. skin rashes, irritation or dermatitis); in which case, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. If nausea, dizziness, headache or allergic reactions occur, discontinue use. Do not use on inflamed skin or if suffering from dermatitis. Avoid exposing treated area to sunlight. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
