Description

L-Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. In times of stress or increased metabolic demand, glutamine is utilized by the body for gastrointestinal tract support, tissue repair in the preservation of muscle mass and immune system function.

 

Glutamine is an especially important source of energy for the G.I. tract. In the gut, glutamine plays a large role in maintaining healthy intestinal integrity by enhancing the intestine's protective mucosal lining. This helps to ensure proper nutrient utilization and absorption, while limiting the amount of toxins that pass through the intestinal barrier.

 

L-Glutamine provides support for muscle repair following exercise by promoting muscle function and glycogen replenishment. In addition, its effects on immune function, which include regulating immune cell proliferation, cytokine activity and phagocytosis, may support post exercise recovery and resistance.

Suggested Use
